It's a sick sick month for Celeste. This dec, she already had fever 3 times. This time round, it's fever plus bad diarrhea everytime she eats or drinks milk, she has to sit at the potty without fail after like 20 mins of eating. Poor thing. Dunno what caused it but we really hope Celeste recovers soon!

Fun comes in all shapes :)

Celeste still loves the baby swing. Luckily, it's big enough for her to sit. But she doesn't dare to go too high. Hehehe.

The slide at the park is a little too big for Celeste. She knocked her head on the slide a few time and landed on the sand with a loud thud before Daddy decided to try the extremely long slide with her.

Tall enough to play this by herself now!

Acting again...

Asked her to do a "Happy" face and she showed me this!

Very mischievous!

Celeste spent about an hour doing up 2 paintings for Daddy and 爷爷. She did quite a good job on the first piece - for daddy. Really did the painting very seriously. All Mummy did was to draw the outline of the words and she did the filling up of colours, choosing of colours all by herself. Mummy had to really restrain herself from holding Celeste's hand and telling her to paint nicely. :p The outcome looks really good nonetheless. All done by Celeste. The second piece was for 爷爷. By then, Celeste was a little fidgity and asked me to help her. She also complained that her hand was aching. She even acted it out for me to see. haha.. so cute. But after I told her to do a little exercise, she promptly went back to work and finished up the painting!

When Celeste was 7 Months old, we put her into the Ikea basket. It was tall enough to cover her.
Now, at 2 years and 11 Months, Celeste is too tall for the basket and she almost doesn't have space to sit inside. And, she climbed into the basket all by herself. ;)

Independent Celeste managed to sit through the entire Strawberry Shortcake all by herself. She even gave away the Strawberry Shortcake pencil to the girl sitting beside her. ;)

Now Mummy and Daddy can let her play by herself without worrying much.

Today is Celeste's 5th day to Sparkle Tots. For the first 4 days, she went to school happily and awaited for 1pm so that either Mummy or Grandma would go and fetch her. Her teacher had nothing but praises for her. "Doesn't cry like the others, can count, can speak very well..." were some of the compliments from Teacher Amy.

Unfortunately, today Celeste seemed to be a little unwell. She had been nursing a cold for quite some time that she hadn't been able to recover from. Today's mucus was especially much and she coughed quite a bit of phlegm out as well. Inititially I already had thoughts of not letting her go to school but decided against it.

She was cheerful and as per normal when we walked to school. Upon reaching the school and entering the school, she looked fine until a China teacher boomed loudly, "来,琦淇,来量体温。" and that sparked off her whining. She suddenly pasted herself to my legs and demanded that I carry her. Not matter what cajoling another young teacher and I made helped to calm her down.

So I brought her to the reading corner to read to her.. she was fine until I asked the teacher to read to her. Heh. Bad move. In the end, called Grandma and she told me to bring Celeste out for a walk first and she'll bring Celeste to school later.

And so.... Grandma brought Celeste to school and successfully managed to leave her there and go for her marketing.

Hope such an incident doesn't happen again. This Celeste always like to bully her Mummy :p

Barney show at United Square started at 7pm and Celeste and I reached at about 6pm. I was shocked to see a long queue forming when we walked to the performance area. Luckily, Daddy who arrived slightly earlier had already joined in the queue. So we had about 1 hour more to queue and I was worried that Celeste would not be able to wait for so long. But my worries were unfounded when we saw a ball area for kids to play in one of the shops. Daddy went off to the toilet and Mummy stayed in queue. Celeste wanted to go and play in the pool of balls but I couldn't walk out of the queue so I told her to join in the fun herself. Interestingly, she wasn't afraid, just a bit apprehensive. Took off her shoes herself and tried to look for a "hole" to jump in. It was rather crowded and she didn't know how to make space for herself. Ran back to me and complained that there wasn't any space for her to enter. So I guided her with words and some directions and she later managed to find her way into the pool of balls.
There, she found a few elder girls to play with and was playing extremely happily.

One of the friends she made there...

Mummy and Celeste before the start of the show..

Celeste is good at listening to instructions. The children were asked to close their eyes and visualise a Christmas Tree being lit up. Celeste promptly followed what Barney said...

Highlight for today is Hi-5 and Celeste just cannot wait to watch Hi-5. Early in the morning, we went to MacRitchie Reservoir for a short walk. Celeste was already talking about watching Hi-5. Luckily, she sort of understands the concept for time so we told her Hi-5 is only coming out at 7pm. Meaning, Celeste needs to go home after the walk at MacRitchie Reservoir, bathe, eat lunch, nap, send Auntie Su home then she'll get to watch Hi-5. So the day passed slowly for her as she kept talking about watching Hi-5.

When we finally reached Marina Square, Celeste spotted the Hi-5 helium balloons and wanted us to buy one for her. Initially we didn't want to buy coz I felt it was a waste of money. $10 for a balloon. "___" But she kept whining and whining and WHINING. OMG. Just got on our nerves! Or rather, MY nerves. :p So we finally gave in and got her one.

We were still early so we went to walk around in Marina Square, let Celeste play at the little playground, ride the Barney Ride.

Alas, when we walked to the Atrium at 630pm, we were aghast. A long queue had formed already and a lady held up a sign announcing that it was full and we were to join the next session or something. We stupidly decide not to join the queue and go to the second level to watch. Who knows, Celeste started to make noise and whine, saying that she wanted to go down to watch, to sit in that SPECIAL area blahblahblah. Kept ranting and ranting and ranting and ranting AND RANTING, like a broken record. Goodness gracious. I wonder who she inherited that from! Definitely not me! Anyway, she even threw a mini tantrum and cried because she couldn't go inside to watch. haizz...

But luckily, once the show started, she forgot about everything and even looked like she enjoyed herself :p

Giving a wave to Hi-5 as the show ended...

Went back to La Casa to check on the progress of the renovation. Upon seeing the dirty house, Celeste volunteered to sweep the floor for us. She started with the living room and after that, went to her own room to start sweeping. Think she loves her room very much coz she kept asking us to bring toys to the new house so that she can play in her room. :D

Digged out the 10 piece jigsaw puzzle that I bought for Celeste some time ago and let Celeste try it. To my amazement, she could do it easily now. I still remember she couldn't or wasn't even interested to piece the jigsaw puzzle when I first bought it. Now, it's so easy for her! Hmm.. I guess I need to buy more challenging ones for her.

It's December and Mummy had planned quite a few activities for Celeste. One of them is to chase the many Christmas Special Shows around town. There's Sesame Street, Hi-5, Thomas The Train, etc so we are going to watch them ALL! :p

Today we decided to go watch Hi-5 and Thomas the Train since they're near each other. So we planned 4pm to watch Thomas the Train and 7pm, Hi-5.

However, by the time Celeste woke up from her nap, it was already 3+pm and we rushed down town like mad. Daddy drove VERY fast. It had been a long time since Mummy took Daddy's FAST car. :p Anyway, when we reached Millenia Walk, it was 5 minutes to 4pm and we saw NO crowd anywhere. I carried Celeste and sort of ran towards the Atrium and then I saw that there was really nobody around!!! No crazy Thomas fans! To my horror, I realised that there was no show at 4pm for Thomas the Train!! *faint* Really stupid of me. it was too late to go over to Marina Square to watch Hi-5 also. :(

So we left Millenia walk for Centerpoint coz I wanted to buy a few Christmas presents for the kids. And... I took such a long time and in the end, we were rushing for time again for the 7pm show. hahz.

When we reached Millenia walk again, this time, the crowd had formed and the show had started already. Managed to squeeze in and watch but it was very short and not so entertaining. Hope tomorrow's Hi-5 would be good!

Celeste always liked taking public transport so tdy because daddy had to work late and needed the car, I decided to bring Celeste to jurong myself first. And I promised Celeste we'll take the train. Didn't anticipate any problems as Celeste is already rather independent and can do most of the walking herself on good days.

Well, things turned out to be a little unexpected. Just as we left the house for the train station, it started to pour heavily. Ah ma's house was quite a distance from the mrt station and I had no umbrella! Celeste was still sick and I really did not want a single drop of rain to splash on her so throughout the long train ride from Amk to jurong, I kept thinking of ways to get Celeste safely and dry to ah ma's house.

Alas, when we reached jurong, it was still raining. I had to execute my plan. Bought an umbrella from 7-11 and with the little one, we walked across the overhead bridge, walked through some void decks and finally... There was no more shelter. I carried Celeste in my arms while she balanced the umbrella carefully to shelter the both of us. It was not easy considering that Celeste is 15kg already and I was very afraid I might slip with all the puddles of water. But Celeste was very happy and she thought it was fun too... "playing" in the rain like that. :)

Was very satisfied with myself upon reaching ah ma's house. Hehe

Improvement in fine motor skills :)

Poor Celeste got her finger caught in between the door and cried pitifully for Mummy's help.

Grandma had asked Celeste to close the wooden main door for her. Apparently, Grandma had taught how to close it safely and she has done it many times without any accidents. Seems like today is an unfortunate day. Celeste is sick btw. Fever. Running nose. Bad cough.

Anyway, obedient Celeste went to close the door for her and next thing we heard was a loud bang and cries from Celeste, "Mummy mummy!!" She was crying and squatting down with her finger stuck in the door. Dunno to laugh or cry coz the sight was acutally quite funny. My immediate reaction was why she didn't just pull the finger out. Anyway, Grandma surprising ran faster than me (I just walked there) and pulled Celeste's finger out. Luckily it was just giapped by the door.. a little bruise and lots of tears. Celeste's finger was not too severely injured.

Well, lesson learned. Cannot ask children to close the doors in future :p

Hehe.. Celeste's favourite cartoon now is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 乐乐屋 . She especially loves the dance by them and often dances together with them. So funny.. She looks like a heavy elephant dancing. heehee.

It's been so so so so so SO long that I've posted here. Not even a post from iPhone. No decent looking photos from iPhone because as you know, Celeste is way too fast on the iPhone. Only digital cameras work on her. ;)
Well, it's finally the hols for Mummy. Mummy has taken quite a big step backwards in work. I'm doing part-time work now so it means I've got a lot more time for Celeste and in maintaining this blog for her. Well, it's said that people tend to forget easily and I think it's true, especially for me. I really don't remember things well and I think Celeste's blog is very extremely precious to me. I wished I had more time in the past to record down bits and pieces of her growing up.
Now, she's reaching THREE soon... just look at her! My little baby has grown up...
Anyway, we went Universal Studios one fine day. It was a pity that Celeste wasn't exactly in a good mood that day. It was the "NO" day. Everything, including food, couldn't entice her. All she wanted was to be EMO so we really took very few photos. Luckily, there WERE some few things that caught her attention, like the three pretty ladies below that were dancing to some oldies. Celeste seemed to adore them and requested that we get out of the restaurant to go watch them perform. She even wanted to take photos with them!

Then woody woodpecker managed to catch her attention as well. She called them the "birds", saying that she wanted to "take photos with the birds". ;)

We also watched a 4D movie. Initially, Celeste was quite entralled by the effects. But the dragon became too scary and she couldn't wait to scramble off to the nearest exits!

All in all, she did enjoy herself A LITTLE bit.... but we thought our tickets were simply wasted! We didn't manage to take any rides because Celeste refused to.. she just cried her lungs out. Must be scary for her... hahz.

It's a special day for Celeste. Mummy had been waiting and waiting and waiting for this special day! Every other day, I'll try to get Celeste to tell me what she'll be doing for her graduation. Singing? Dancing? Drama? However, she's clueless to the fact that she is going to perform on this special day. The day went on as usual until evening came. We changed Celeste into her school uniform. She didn't think it was unusual that she had to go to school in the evening. Even when we asked her a few times why she was going to school, she couldn't answer. Anyway, the moment we reached, I brought her into her classroom and she sat down quietly. A far cry from her usual self. Always so fidgety at home! Hmpf. Anyway, saw that she was happy playing around with the bell around her wrist and very obedient. :) The time came when the teachers brought the children out. Celeste was one of the first few to be led out. I think she looked rather shocked to see so many people around. She didn't see us until she reached the stage. Delighted to see us but apprehensive to why she was on stage. At one point of time, I thought she wanted to poopoo in her pants coz she had the “I want to poo” look! After the music started, she was still a little lost but quickly followed her friends who were equally stunned. Thereafter, perfect performance from her. Just love the day. Throughout the entire perform, the smile on my face could not be wiped off. And I was VERY busy taking videos for her.

Celeste performing like a Ace student. Heehee..

Posing for a class photo with their teachers.

Grandma and Grandpa went to support her!

Last but not least, the Ng Family :D
