Reading Chinese.  Celeste reads well in Chinese with the right intonation!

This year,  the kids received many presents.  Probably about 8 each?  That also means mummy spent a lot of money buying other people's presents.  Buy until sian!

Celeste and Cyrus are happy to have new toys! I only allow celeste to open / use one a few days.  :p

Ok, not dropped, Daddy extracted them out for her.

Celeste's 2 lower incisors have been shaky for the longest time. The 2 adult lower incisors look pretty fully grown and every other day, we worry whether the baby teeth would drop by themselves. We asked Celeste to shake it whenever she can. She's been really careful about it, hardly using them because whenever she bites, she feels pain. A careful eater she is, so that 2 teeth stood there forever.

Finally today, Daddy saw the opportunity to extract them out for her. Not sure of the process as I was feeding Cyrus milk but I heard a moment of silence (or many moments of silence) before Daddy calmly came out of the room proclaiming that he has pulled out Celeste's teeth! Didn't manage to take any in-process video/photos, but I managed to take a few photos after that!

Celeste is happy her teeth are finally out. I think she was also quite worried especially when we told her that if the teeth doesn't drop by themselves, the dentist would have to extract for her and the dentist was definitely going to give her an injection! Hehe.

So, Yes! We are glad her 2 teeth are out and hopefully, now the adult teeth will move frontwards into position.

Suddenly thought of Cyrus' sleeping habits and thought it'll be good to record down his achievements so far. Cyrus is sleeping through the night (for quite some time already!) I cannot remember when it started but it was after his front teeth popped out. He'll go to sleep around 7pm and wake up around 5+am, maybe for milk but we only give his tutu to him. So the tutu can make him go to sleep for about an hr or so, depending, and he'll wake up around 6+ to 7am. Great achievement for him right! He's turning 10months soon and I think this is by far his best achievement if I compare with Celeste. hehe.

He is still taking 2 naps. Grandma lets him cry to sleep if he refuses to sleep. In a way, it's good for him coz he knows nobody will save him. Morning nap is around 930am. Afternoon nap is around 1pm? Total nap time around 3hours.

At night, just need to give him a bottle of milk, followed by some back rubbing, he doesn't like to be patted to sleep i realised! Back rubbing helps to settle him down and he goes to sleep pretty quickly. Maybe less than 5mins? Need to time how long I rub his back but I think it's pretty fast!

Hope this remains for as long as possible, till the next tooth pops out and spoils everyone's sleep!

Times flies! Cyrus is now 9+months old. I know I have not been updating for the longest time. Kinda got lazy documenting their growth. Well, here's the latest:

• Cyrus is still leopard crawling, but he is able to shift from crawling position to sitting position, and sitting position to standing position with an aid. He has learnt to kneel to dig for things in a box (very cute looking!) and today, I just realised he has a bad temper! He was trying to snatch Celeste's Advent Calendar Lego box and I took it away. He immediately flew into a rage by throwing a short but nasty tantrum. Jumped and wailed! Oh dear! And earlier in the day, I took the remote control away from him because he was mouthing it again and he cried very terribly the minute I took it away! 
• Celeste's 2 bottom adult teeth are out but her milk teeth has not dropped yet! The milk teeth are kinda shakey now but still not dropping. I'm a little afraid that her adult teeth will be crooked. :(

Issit the fish in the porridge?  Or he just wants to go to sleep?  Cyrus cries in frustration.  I think it's both.  He needs his beauty sleep.
