Saturday:
To Jurong Bird park again for its waterplay. However, the area has deteriorated so much! Also while playing halfway, water supply stopped and an announcement came about to tell us that there was a technical fault.  The waterplay area was soon closed.  Just as we finished bathing,  water supply came on again.  Grr...

Seletar gardens:
Dry play today coz cyrus is having runny nose. Spent a long time there as both of them entertained themselves. I really shd pick up my booking reading again soon.  Otherwise I'll just be wasting time waiting.

Today we say goodbye to Brandy.
Never thought I'll cry over a dog...
But Brandy isn't just a dog.
I remember the warm welcomes she gave me when I was still new in the Ng family.
Now that she has grown older and weak, it's with much sadness that hb and I send her on her last journey.
Rest in peace, Brandy.
We miss you.

Too many things to blog about.... and I often forget to blog about things that pass by especially if I don't take photos about it.

Been wanting to blog about this. ..

On Friday,  celeste took part in a filming of traditional games in school together with 40 other girls. She came home proudly to tell me that she was chosen to be the person introducing the games.  However, it meant that she could not take part in the filming of the games.  Nonetheless, it wasn't this piece of news that made me proud of her. Celeste has always excelled in reporting so I was quite expecting her to be chosen when I saw from the chat group that a girl is supposed to be introducing the games.

What made me proud was the praises she had gotten from Auntie Alicia praised her for being very sensible,  helping to clear the things in the canteen when everyone ran off to play.  :) indeed a good girl,  and a responsible one.

Hope she lives up to st nick's school motto... which I can rem offhand. Hahaha.  Something girls of grace... something something virtue. Haha. .

And lastly, ending off my entry with the definition of Celeste's name and why I chose this name instead of keira.

Celeste comes from a french word,  which means celestial, heavenly.

My celeste is indeed celestial, excelling in many areas.  :)

Btw, celeste said, " I think you should change my name to start with T." I asked why and she told me because she was talkative.  Haha. .. nah..... the name celeste still suits her. :)

Continuing on with why I love my Saturdays. ..

Because I get to bake.

And why I love my Sundays?

Because I still get to bake!

And play play play

Play at home....

Update: 3 nights of no pacifier! On the 2nd night,  Cyrus slept through and only asked for pacifier in the morning. Today is the 3rd night or is it 4th? He ocassionally still asks for the pacifier when slightly stressed or tired but rems very clearly that it is gone and stops asking for it. Good job cyrus.  Really proud of you.  It is extremely difficult but u are doing so well!

Because I get to spend time with my impish girl and boy. :D

It's an unexpected start of saying good bye to the pacifier.

Somehow prior bedtime, grandma convinced cyrus to throw his pacifier into the bin and cyrus really did it without a thought.  Come bedtime,  he looked high and low for it, chanted for it and threw a tiny tantrum by lying on the floor,  refusing to get changed.  However,  there were no tears involved.  He soon went to sleep like his usual afternoon nap time without the pacifier.

Fast forward to 245am, he wokeup and started mumbling to himself that "I cannot find my paci.  Paci paci, where are you? " at first it was a whisper and just a chant.  Then his voice started getting louder and it became sort of an anguished cry for it. I kept quiet (daddy was out working night shift) for a while before I responded to him telling him "no paci!" Sternly.

And that was the first mistake made! Coz he realised that someone was around to Lauren to his wails. The wails grew louder. I go up, told him firmly there's no paci and reminded him that he had thrown it away.  Hey... it worked for 5 seconds! He kept quiet, knowing very well that he was the one who threw the pacifier away.  But he was very quick thinking.  He asked for milk next.  Lol.

He knew there was milk so he insisted on milk despite me telling him there's no hot water,  blah blah blah.  So I told him I would go and find some milk. Then he requested for "more milk" and not just some!  Faint.

So here I am, out in the living room,  "finding" milk. Looking at him through the baby monitor.  He's not crying,  just lying around waiting for me. But he's scratching himself crazy. I guess it's his usual way while he waits in the dark to fall asleep.

340am: he is still awake but looks like he's falling asleep.  Shall just wait. .. 2 more hours before my alarm rings.  Hope he falls asleep soon. :p

355am: all seems quiet. Shall make my way in. Hope he has fallen asleep!

So mummy can send Cyrus to school!
