It has been a long time since we went on a trip together, excluding the times we went jb. This time, we are going to Malacca together with both the Ng and Ong family.
Finally some feedback on the baby! Just as I've expected. He still needs lots of guidance. Teacher Mrs Tan says he is v quiet in school and needs prompting. Well, that I'm surprised! Quiet? Never at home. But I agree with the prompting part. He just needs more time to learn. Nothing to be overly concerned about. Thank god.
Today is Celeste's PTC. I wasn't able to go but daddy went instead. Both Eng & chinese teachers said that Celeste is an excellent pupil (we know that!) But she can try to be more confident. ( we know that too.) God is fair. No one is perfect!
Celeste is very much like me so I don't blame her. Confidence has to be built I guess? I think she's happy in school and trying her best. That's good enough. Extremely proud of her efforts to study by herself everyday. Her hardwork has definitely paid off as seen from the report book.
It's been a tiring day although I don't think we've done much. Just that my day started at 535am when the thunder started rolling, wakening me. I was completely unaware that it had rained for quite some time otherwise, I might have just gone back to sleep, since the weather was so cosy! Unfortunately, I had some overdue work to complete. So instead of my usual weekend morning routine of baking, I was typing away sluggishly in the study room.
Soon after, Cyrus wokeup and I went to play with him for a little while before I received a phone call from Celeste, along if we could go fetch grandma and her at Ave6's market. So off we went out, early in the morning with a slight drizzle. Then had breakfast at home and I continued playing with cyrus in 503 while celeste did her reading in 501. Peace was at hand when both of them are separated. Hehe.
When cyrus went to sleep, we went to botanic gardens as I had to do my camp worksheet. After a quick walk, we proceeded for a late lunch at Halia Restaurant.
St nick's activity for the night: reading under the stars. We had storytelling activities, popcorn and shared a book about fears together. Our favourite word was "whereamiphobia"! Fear of feeling lost. Hehe.

An eventful weekend!
On sat, we went to jb to get our groceries. Always enjoy shopping at jb coz can just take and buy. Haha. As if it's free!
That morning while preparing myself in the toilet, I heard cyrus go, " where's Euniceeee? " faint. This boy is so mischievous!!
Then while putting on some makeup, Cyrus came into the bathroom and said, "cyrus no draw face." I was wondering what he meant then I realised! ! Hahaha and that's because I was drawing my eyebrow with the eyebrow pencil! ! Lol... today he refused to let me put on my makeup too.. kept pulling my hands and saying "no draw faceeeee "
So today is Mother's Day... I tried to do some crepe art but failed badly. Here's what I've done. Far from what I planned to do!
Carnations bought by dear celeste who woke up ultra early to go to the market with grandma and grandpa. Such a sweet girl. She remembered that she got this for me last year so she had planned to get me another carnation this year.
Yesterday celeste told me that she went up on the monkey bars and managed to swing on it. Wow!! I have never tried monkey bars. They have never been on my mind. Haha. But I'm glad celeste is adventurous and despite her saying she is afraid of heights, I think it's still a marvellous feat for her! Her friends encouraged and taught her well too. Hope that she enjoys school and makes good friends in school!
No, the little helper is not cyrus or celeste. It's our new robot! It helps to clean our house. Vacumn, sweep and mop! So nice having it. It means I don't need to sweep and mop the house individually. cyrus seems to be a little afraid of it. He runs to the sofa and looks at the robot. Doesn't go near it. He runs across its path whenever it comes near him. What a funny sight!
Well done celeste. I'm quite sure I blogged about this somewhere but just couldn't find it.
Although celeste got a Merit, highest is a distinction, we're still happy for her. All I had wishes for was a pass and I knew she'll do better than a pass. A distinction would just be a bonus. According to Teacher Yan, celeste got the highest for grade 1. She's the highest scoring merit. No distinctions in Prelude for grade 1. Celeste is just 4 marks away from distinction. I hope celeste will continue to work hard. Learning the piano is not easy but I hope she'll acquire this useful skill!
Here's the results and her transcript: ( will post soon)
Mummy: you want more (sanzha)?
Cyrus: (both hands have sanzha and mouth still eating some) wait. Eating.
Whoa. I didn't expect that answer from cyrus!
Cyrus: mama draw dinosaur!
Mummy: I draw dinosaur? Can I draw cat?
Cyrus: no.
Mummy: dog?
Cyrus: no.
Mummy: car?
Cyrus: no. Mama draw dinosaur.
Mummy: I can only draw dinosaur?
Cyrus: (nods head)
What an obstinate boy!
It's been a long time since we watched a movie. The last time daddy and Mummy sent for a mummy and didn't bring celeste, celeste cried. So this time, we thought it'll be better to bring her although the movie might not be too interesting for her. It's after all a boy's movie!
Went hh&m to shop before the movie started. Impatient celeste kept asking when the movie was starting and she was just not interested in the many dresses I thought liked pretty! Ahh.. seems like she just prefers her old and comfy clothes and shoes!
Pancake from scratch! Celeste did the measuring, pouring and mixing entirely by herself!
