Little Cyrus went to school today! It's his first day in school and I think he did pretty well!
When we reached school, it wasn't time for breakfast yet so I gave him some puffs to eat and quickly told him that I was going to work. He did not really acknowledge me so I quickly said byebye and went off. Heard him protesting but I did not turn my head and made a quick exit.
At around 1045am, the assistant teacher from Little Harvard called to ask about milk. She told me that Cyrus was still crying on and off but was somewhat settled. That put my mind to ease. I went to pick him up at 1130am.
When I reached, he was sitting beside Teacher Adeline. I think he had finished his craftwork and was waiting with his water bottle. No tears. But when he knocked down his bottle, he cried a little. He continued with this on and off crying until it was lunch time. Assistant teacher was feeding him when I think he saw me and refused to eat. So I had to carry him and feed him. Initially he refused to eat but I persisted. He finally ate a few mouths but when I was talking to Teacher Adeline, he accidentally kicked his bowl of rice down! Oops, so he was left with about 1/4 bowl of rice only. Luckily, he finished all, carrots and rice. After rice, he had apples. He gladly finished two pieces before we went home. During my brief stay there as I was feeding him, Cyrus seemed to be telling me about his classroom. He pointed to the surroundings and kept babbling.
I think he will enjoy his days in school in future. Hope that tomorrow will be a success too!
