This is Celeste's 3rd Chinese new year. Unlike last year where she was dressed very prettily, this year, she chose her own outfit and shoes. She refused to wear certain clothes that some people had gotten for her. Those that were uncomfortable or too girlish were fiercely thrown aside by her. Celeste decided that this yellow dress that Mummy got goes well with her bright cyan cap. She loves the outfit and gamely poses with us for our first family portrait.
Celeste's character is growing day by day. It's getting really very strong. She chooses almost everything nowadays, leaving you with no choice but to give in to her wants. Sometimes, she even dictates what Mummy wears! Luckily, she only chooses Mummy's shoes and not clothes! When I can, I give in to her to show that her choice is important too. ;)
